the vigil

A script. Blood. The British Columbia Arts Council. Sweat. The Movie Network. Tears. The Sundance Channel. More blood. Vanguard.

The Vigil was a labour of love that managed to find its audience. Starting with the Vancouver International Film Festival, the film played from Victoria to Calcutta, eventually securing international distribution on DVD through Vanguard International. Along the way it has been broadcast on numerous television stations. Oh, and it was pirated in India, China and Russia.

What are you gonna do?

So, friends, enjoy your visit. There are stills here that have never been seen before and I’m getting some slides digitized in the next little while. We’ll keep updating as long as you keep emailing.

Thanks to everyone who cried and bled along with us. Thanks to the music that lifted us up, touched our souls and brought us together. Thanks to the fans who found the film and embraced it.

You’re the reason we made it.
